8 Witnesses Of The Terra Drone Indonesia Fire Examined At The Central Jakarta Metro Police

Eight witnesses have been questioned in connection with the Terra Drone Indonesia office fire in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, which resulted in 22 deaths on Tuesday, December 9.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Central Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Roby Heri Saputra, said that as of this afternoon, eight people had been questioned.

According to Roby, the eight people who were examined as witnesses consisted of employees and also the management of the company.

Roby ensured that his party investigated the case so that it was clear, and it could be known if there was a criminal element or negligence that caused dozens of people to die in the incident.

"We examined the company's employees and management," said Roby, ANTARA, Wednesday, December 10.

The Terra Drone Indonesia office fire on Jalan Letjen Suprapto, Cempaka Baru, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, killed 22 people.

The police said that all the bodies found were intact without serious burns so that they could be recognized.

Meanwhile, Head of the DKI Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat) Bayu Meghantara said officers rescued 19 people in the incident.

They saved themselves by running to the top floor, and then the officers lowered them.

The fire that occurred at the Terra Drone Shophouse scorched the ground floor, while the other six floors were in safe condition.

According to Bayu, the 22 victims who died were mostly found on the 3rd and 5th floors. They are suspected of trying to save themselves, but because the emergency door was on the top floor, they were exhausted.

"This upward access channel also requires energy. Maybe they are tired," said Bayu.
