The Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation (Direskrimsus) through the Cyber Sub-Directorate of the Polda Metro Jaya revealed a network of riot planners that were suspected of being carried out during a demonstration on December 10, 2025. Three suspects were arrested in Central Jakarta, Bekasi, and Bandung.

Deputy Director of Cyber Investigation of Polda Metro Jaya, AKBP Fian Yunus explained, this disclosure began with intensive monitoring of a number of social media accounts indicated to spread provocations and invitations for riots.

"Regarding the planning of chaos in conveying the aspirations of the community. Investigators of the Polda Metro Jaya Cyber Sub-Directorate have made disclosures to the riot groups that will disrupt the delivery of people's aspirations in the future," he told the media at Polda Metro Jaya, Monday, December 8, 2025.

He emphasized that public opinion submission is protected by law, so that the police are obliged to keep the community's actions safe and not be infiltrated by anarchist acts.

"Polda Metro Jaya has never silenced democratic actions. Instead, we keep peaceful actions from being ridden by parties who deliberately create chaos," he said.

During the operation, the police found a number of evidences in the form of Molotov cocktails that had been assembled and allegedly prepared for use in riots.

"To the perpetrators, some evidence was found that led to plans to cause chaos. There were several Molotov cocktails that had been prepared for that purpose," he added.
