Head of BPBD Central Sulawesi Akris Fattah Yunus in his statement, said the tidal flood submerged two villages in Tomini District, namely Tingkulang Village and West Tomini Village.
"Precisely in Hamlet 1 of Tingkulang Village and Hamlet 1 and Hamlet 2 of Tomini Barat Village. The tidal flood took place from 16.00 to 18.00 WITA on Saturday (December 6). Sea water overflowed onto the trans road and entered residential areas," said Akris Fattah Yunus, ANTARA, Sunday, December 7.
He explained that in Tingkulang Village, Hamlet 1, there were 17 families or 59 people affected and two houses submerged.
Meanwhile, in Tomini Barat Village, he said, 11 families or 32 people were affected in Hamlet 1 and 34 families or 117 people in Hamlet 2, with a total of 25 houses submerged.

Akris explained that his party together with the Parigi Moutong BPBD Rapid Response Team (TRC) and local village officials had carried out initial assessments and coordinated for handling.
