Police Investigate Tiri Children's Sexual Violence In Serang Banten

SERANG - The Women and Children Protection Unit (PPA) of the Serang Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim), Banten, revealed a case of alleged sexual abuse committed by a man, RD (32) against two of his stepchildren who were minors.

The head of the Serang Police Satreskrim, AKP Andi Kurniady ES, said the case was revealed after investigators followed up on the report of the victim's biological mother who did not accept her husband's actions.

"From the results of the examination, it was revealed that the perpetrators had carried out the action since June 2025 against two victims aged 14 years and 8 years," Andi said as quoted by Antra, Thursday, November 27.

Andi explained, this disclosure opens up the fact that the perpetrators who work as mobile ice traders take advantage of the quiet situation of the house. RD launched his actions repeatedly when his wife was working teaching at school.

Based on the results of the investigation, the motive for the perpetrator was purely based on lust. This action caused the two victims to experience psychological pressure and fear until they finally ventured to complain to their mother.

"Currently, we have secured the perpetrators at the Serang Police Headquarters and are charged with the Child Protection Act. We ensure that the legal process runs optimally," he said.

Meanwhile, he said, the victims are now in psychological assistance for trauma recovery.

Cases of sexual abuse in Serang are common. Previously, an honorary teacher with the initials DB (33) was suspected of committing a criminal act of molestation against a male student at a junior high school in Kopo District, Serang and has been arrested.

In addition, AD (17) and SO (23), were arrested by the Serang police for allegedly committing immoral acts against a 14-year-old girl by trapping and locking the victim using hard drugs.
