JAKARTA - A blind woman with the initials VO admitted that she was involved in a dispute with a man with the initials P (42) which led to bullying in the Jagakarsa area, South Jakarta, on Saturday, November 15, evening. This case is currently being handled by the Jagakarsa Sector Police.

Jagakarsa Police Chief, Kompol Nurma Dewi, explained that the incident began with a meeting between VO and the victims who were connected through an online application. VO is said to have received a payment of Rp. 300 thousand from the victim after the two agreed to carry out prostitution transactions, or it is familiarly called open BO.

However, from the perpetrator's statement, VO then asked the victim for an additional Rp250 thousand for a reason which he claimed was a form of compensation. The request could not be fulfilled because the victim admitted that he only had Rp50 thousand left.

From there, there was an argument that led to the beating of the victim by VO and his colleague. They also detained the victim's cellphone, ID card, STNK, and ATM," Nurma told reporters.

After receiving the report, the police came to the scene to secure the victim's belongings and examined VO and his colleagues. The examination was carried out to clarify the reasons for the additional demand for money and acts of violence committed.

"After the interrogation process, the two perpetrators were discharged the next day, at around 12.00 WIB after being picked up by the family," said Nurma.

This incident caught the public's attention after a video showed the victim sitting and surrounded by several suspected perpetrators of bullying circulated widely on social media.
