The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) suspects that a consultant has been appointed by the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) regarding the construction of the East Kolaka Hospital.

KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo said the investigation was carried out by examining a witness, namely Sujaswan Mihoradjab as Planning Consultant at the East Kolaka Hospital in 2023.

The examination was carried out at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, November 18 yesterday.

"In today's examination, investigators are investigating the basic design made by the consultant for the construction of the East Kalimantan Hospital and in the end, it will be directed to use a consultant appointed by the Ministry of Health," Budi told reporters in his statement, Wednesday, November 19.

Previously reported, the KPK named three new suspects for alleged corruption in the construction of the East Kolaka regional general hospital (RSUD). This process is the development of the previous case.

However, the anti-corruption commission has not announced in detail who they are. However, based on the information collected they are HP as staff at the Ministry of Health, YS who is a confidant of former East Kolaka Abdul Azis, and Aswin as a consultant liaison between contractors and PPK.

The KPK has named East Kolaka Regent Abdul Azis as a suspect in the alleged bribery of the construction of a regional public hospital (RSUD) along with four other people. This determination is a follow-up to the hand arrest operation (OTT) on Thursday, August 7, 2025.
