KPK Issues 3 New Sprindik to Develop the Tax Restitution Bribery Case at the Banjarmasin Deputy KPP

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is developing an investigation into alleged bribery in the management of tax restitution at the Banjarmasin Sub-Tax Service Office (KPP). There are three new investigation orders (sprindik) that have been issued.

Acting Director of Investigation of the KPK, Achmad Taufik Husein, said the development was made from a hand-in-hand operation (OTT) that ensnared the former Head of the Banjarmasin Deputy KPP, Mulyono.

"The team is also developing the case. There are three sprindik, sprindik from the head of the Deputy of Banjarmasin who was caught in the act. So, there are general sprindik, because there are two new ones, so there are three general sprindik," said Taufik, quoted on Friday, August 7.

Taufik said the new sprindik was the first related to the alleged provision of bribes from the private sector to state organizers.

The second Sprindik concerns targeting alleged acceptance of bribes by state officials. Meanwhile, the last one concerns money laundering (TPPU).

"So it means that there are several results of criminal acts found in the results of the investigation, then we develop it into the TPPU case to pursue asset recovery," he said.

As previously reported, the KPK is investigating allegations of tax management bribes at the Banjarmasin Tax Service Office (KPP), South Kalimantan. This case was revealed after the anti-corruption commission carried out a hand-in-hand operation (OTT) in February 2026.

Three people are suspects, namely Mulyono as the former Head of the Banjarmasin Sub-KPP; tax employee Dian Jaya Demega (DJD) and Financial Manager of PT Buana Karya Bhakti Venasius Jenarus Genggor (VNZ).

In the press conference for the determination and detention of the suspects, the anti-corruption commission revealed that this case began with a request for money as a form of appreciation related to the management of the value-added tax (VAT) restitution belonging to PT Buana Karya Bhakti.

The company is known to have filed a VAT refund for the 2024 tax year with a status of overpayment.

The value reached Rp. 49.47 billion based on the results of the Banjarmasin Deputy KPP inspection.

Then, after a fiscal correction of Rp1.14 billion, the approved restitution value became around Rp48.3 billion.
