JAKARTA - Head of the DKI Jakarta Food, Maritime and Agricultural Security Service (DKPKP) Hasudungan Sidabalok revealed that the DKI Provincial Government has distributed around 16 million food commodities throughout 2025.
Cheap food commodities that have been distributed include rice, chicken eggs, chicken meat, beef, bloating fish, and UHT milk. All these commodities can be accessed through outlets and official sales points provided by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.
"The public does not need to worry, because until the end of this year, all subsidized food commodities are still available at outlets and other selling points. Distribution continues smoothly as scheduled," said Hasudungan in his statement, Friday, November 14.
As of October 2025, subsidized food programs have been distributed 1,024,189 beneficiaries from various groups, such as Jakarta Smart Plus Cardholders (KJP+), Jakarta Elderly Cards (KLJ), Jakarta Disability Cards (KPDJ), Jakarta Children Cards (KAJ), PKK Cadres, Jakarta Worker Cardholders (KPJ), flat residents, honorary teachers, education staff, to other individual service providers (PJLP).
"This program is a tangible form of the DKI Provincial Government's concern for the welfare of the community, with the beneficiaries reaching around one million Jakarta residents every year," said Hasudungan.

On that occasion, Hasudungan emphasized that he would not cut the distribution of food subsidy social assistance in the low-cost food program in 2026, even though there was a budget reduction of up to IDR 300 billion for subsidized food programs in the Draft Regional Regulation (Raperda) on the APBD for Fiscal Year 2026.
"The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government also ensures that there will be no budget cuts for subsidized food programs by 2026," he said.
Hasudungan emphasized that the food subsidy budget in 2026 can still be increased if needed so that the provision of food at affordable prices can still be obtained by the end of next year.
The addition of the budget can be done through several mechanisms. One of them is the use of the unexpected budget (BTT). Apart from BTT, the DKI Provincial Government can also allocate additional budgets in the process of changing the APBD in 2026 in the middle of next year.
"We will continue to present policies that favor the community, especially in ensuring the availability of quality food at affordable prices," said Hasudungan.
"This program will continue without a reduction in budget, as a form of our commitment to maintaining food security and the welfare of Jakarta residents," he continued.
