Police Arrest The Perpetrator Of The Murder Of A Taksol Driver Whose Body Was Dumped On The Jagorawi Toll Road

Bogor Police arrested two perpetrators of the murder of an online taxi driver named Ujang Adiwijaya (57) whose body was found on the edge of the Jagorawi KM 30 Toll Road on Monday (10/11).

Bogor Police Chief AKBP Wikha Ardilestanto explained that the identity of the victim was revealed through a fingerprint examination that showed the victim was a resident of Pancoran Mas, Depok City, and worked as an online taxi driver.

"From the autopsy results, the victim died of violence with snare wounds on the neck and bleeding on the shoulder," said Wikha as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, November 13.

The case began with a public report to Citeureup Police personnel regarding the discovery of a corpse on the edge of the Jagorawi Toll Road. After checking, the police used the scientific crime investigation method to determine the identity and track record of the victim's journey.

The results of the transportation application search showed that the victim was driving a black Toyota Avanza Veloz with police number B 1532 ZFW. The vehicle is an important clue in leading to the perpetrator.

A joint team from the Bogor Resort Police and Citeureup Police then gave chase to Ciamis Regency and arrested two suspects with the initials RS and AH.

The two suspects admitted that they had planned a robbery. While in the car, they caught the victim's neck with a dried rope and hit the victim's head before taking over the vehicle.

The perpetrators also sold the victim's cell phone to buy gasoline before leaving the victim's body on the side of the toll road. The victim's car was found on strike near the North Sentul Toll Gate after previously being taken to a workshop in the Citeureup area.

When arrested, the two suspects were carrying out a panisan ritual at a funeral complex in Ciamis.

The police confiscated a number of evidences, including the Avanza Veloz car, red clothes, blue bed covers, clothes, and two cell phones belonging to the victim.

The two suspects were charged with Article 365 and Article 340 of the Criminal Code with the threat of death penalty, life imprisonment, or a maximum of 20 years.
