IPACS 2025 Cultural Night Unites Asian-Pacific Countries Through Soap Culture

The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Indonesia held a Cultural Night as part of the 2025 Indonesia-Pacific Cultural Synergy (IPACS) series in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara, Wednesday, November 12. With the theme The Sea Between Us, The Culture Within Us, this event displays the rich culture of the archipelago and strengthens the brotherhood of Asian-Pacific countries through a culture.

The Minister of Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, Fadli Zon, in his speech emphasized that culture is a unifying force for the Pacific region that has the same historical and traditional roots. The culture owned by Pacific countries is not just a reflection of the past, but a force that forms a prosperous and sustainable future. Let's celebrate the spirit of unity through art, performances, and inter-community relations," said Fadli.

He also expressed his appreciation to all delegates and representatives of participating countries IPACS 2025 for their contribution in strengthening regional cooperation. Over the last two days, IPACS 2025 has presented a variety of activities, ranging from exhibitions, collaborative forums, to dynamic plenary sessions," he added.

This cultural night featured various performances, including the Colossal Dance of Iriana Birds presented by Jemmy Dance Academy Indonesia's Got Talent, Tais Mutin Gambling Dance, Dayango Traditional Dance by the North Sulawesi XVII Regional Cultural Preservation Center, as well as the Black Brothers (BSB) music show. The event was also enlivened by drone performances from the Kupang City Government and NTT Weaving Padu Padun fashion performances.

In addition, a short documentary entitled A Visual Journey Across the Pacific also screened a short documentary entitled A Visual Journey Across the Pacific' featuring the rich culture ofTEN, Vanuatu, and Indonesia. This film is a symbol of the journey and cultural closeness of countries in the Pacific region.

The event was also attended by delegates from the IPACS 2025 participating countries, Kupang Mayor Christian Widodo, and echelon one officials from the Ministry of Culture.

Closing the event, Minister Fadli Zon hopes that the 2025 IPACS will be a momentum to strengthen national brotherhood in the Asia-Pacific region through inclusive and sustainable cultural diplomacy.
