The Cartenz Peace Task Force arrested a member of the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) Jayainus Pogau alias Supi Pogau, who claimed to be Commander of the Nduga Hetobia Kodap III Battalion under the leadership of Aibon Kogoya, in Nabire, Central Papua.

Head of the Cartenz Peace Task Force Brigadier General Pol. Faizal Rahmadani said the arrests were made on Friday, October 31 at Kalibobo Market, Nabire Regency.

He said that the arrest of KKB Jayainus Pogau began when the Cartenz Peace Task Force conducted an investigation into the whereabouts of the perpetrators who were detected around the Kalibobo Market.

From the initial interrogation, it was revealed that Jayainus was involved in the shooting of Brimob personnel from the Cartenz Peace Operations Task Force in Intan Jaya Regency on November 22, 2023, which resulted in Bharatu Anumerta Bonifasius Jawa being killed and Bharatu Rani Seran being shot.

In addition, the perpetrator is also known to have received and handed over 31 rounds of ammunition and a cell phone to Aibon Kogoya.

The evidence that was secured from the hands of the perpetrators included a noken, two ID cards, a cell phone, Rp5,730,000 in cash.
