Residents Complain That Garbage Is Disbursed In Cakung, Road Users Can't Hold The Smell

JAKARTA - Residents in the Milling Village area, Cakung, East Jakarta again complained about the accumulation of garbage which caused a pungent smell and disrupted road access around the location.

"This smell really good," said one resident of RT 06 Tusiah Milling Village (38) in Cakung, East Jakarta, Thursday. People just pass by can't stand the smell. 'This is especially the rainy season, the smell is getting pungent, passing is also difficult, it has covered access," he said.

Residents complained about the accumulation of waste because it had gradually been almost four months without complete handling.

Household waste was seen mounting on the side of the road and queuing waiting for it to be transported to the truck.

According to Tusiah, transportation activities that should have been running fast have become slow because they were carried out manually by cleaners and local residents.

"This waste has been in line for days. Riding to the truck is still manual, assisted by many people," said Tusiah.
