JAKARTA - US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard on Monday visited the US-operated Center for Civil Military Coordination (CMCC) to monitor the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, Palestine from southern Israel.
Gabbard told Fox News, 16 countries and 20 NGOs are currently operating in the CMCC, including through intelligence exchanges, which were the reasons for his visit.
"The intelligence not only supports security, but also achieves lasting peace and stability for Israel and Palestine," he told Fox News, as reported by The Times of Israel November 4.
In addition to the CMCC, Gabbard also visited the SALom Brake Crossing along Israel's border with the Gaza Strip.
He is the latest top US official to visit Israel in recent weeks, after President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, senior adviser to Jared Kushner, Steve Witkoff, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and US Military Commander General Dan Righte.
