Police Arrest 3 Illegal Gold Miners In Nagan Raya Aceh

NAGAN RAYA - Criminal Investigation Division of Nagan Raya Police, Aceh arrested three illegal gold miners.

"The three perpetrators we arrested based on reports from the community", said Head of Criminal Investigation Division Nagan Raya Police AKP Machfud, in Suka Makmue, quoted Antara, Thursday, May 20.

Three perpetrators are now status as suspects, each with the initials BU (55) residents cot Dirui Village, East Seunagan District, Nagan Raya Regency.

Then ZA (33) residents of Meurandeh Suak Village, East Seunagan District, Nagan Raya Regency, and EM (41) residents of Blang Bayu Village, East Seunagan District, Nagan Raya Regency.

In this case, the police also confiscated some of the evidence, including one unit of Hitachi brand excavators in orange and one sheet of a green-gold filter.

Then, one piece of Indang in the form of a filter/gold pan, gold sand wrapped in clear plastic weighing 0.84 grams.

AKP Machfud also confirmed that the three suspects were arrested by police because when asked to show a permit for mining business activities, the perpetrators did not have any permits, so all three were arrested and taken to Nagan Raya Aceh Police for examination.

"Our three suspects are ensnared by Article 158 of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 3 of 2020 concerning amendments to The Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 4 of 2009 concerning Minerals and Coal", said AKP Machfud asserted.
