Monitoring SPALD Projects In Jakarta, KPK Doesn't Want PSN Budget To Leak

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) continues to monitor the Domestic Waste Management System (SPALD) project in Jakarta, which has a value of IDR 7.2 trillion. This step is to ensure a transparent and accountable process prevents budget leakage.

"KPK is here to ensure that this project is in accordance with the principles of good governance. We assist so that the budget does not leak, starting from planning, budgeting, to implementing construction," said Dwi Aprilia Linda Astuti as Head of the KPK Region II Korsup Task Force in a written statement, Friday, October 17.

To monitor the project as a result of cooperation between the Jakarta Provincial Government and the Ministry of Public Works, the KPK even went directly to the field with the Jakarta Water Resources Service (DSDA).

The visit was carried out to Zone 1 Package 5 (Area 2-1) in the Mangga Besar area, Central Jakarta. For this work, the KPK said the value reached Rp201.7 billion.

The entire SPLAD project has 15 network zones. This development is important to improve the quality of water and public health in Jakarta.

"We will continue to carry out this supervision until all zones are completed in 2027," he said.

Meanwhile, Head of Waste Water Management of the DKI Jakarta Water Resources Service, Robby Dwi Mariansyah, said that the SPALD project was based on Regional Regulation (Perda) Number 10 of 2024 concerning Domestic Wastewater Management.

Its work is ensured to pay attention to the complexity of field conditions and the existence of transportation infrastructure such as Light Rail Transit (LRT) and Mass Rapid Transit (MRT).

Zone 1 which is being worked on includes the Manggarai corridor, South Jakarta, to Pluit, North Jakarta with five main construction packages. The work in the Mangga Besar area includes the construction of a 350-meter pipeline, of which about 200 meters have been completed and the rest will be completed within the next 16 days.

"Of the 15 zones, actually there are those who have released, namely Zone 0 which has been managed by Perumda PAL Jaya, the WTP is around the East Setiabudi Reservoir and the Krukut WTP near Sampoerna Square Sudirman Building. Meanwhile, Zone 1, which is currently being built, is only the main piping, it has not yet been connected to the houses," concluded Robby.
