JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) continues to monitor the Domestic Waste Management System (SPALD) project in Jakarta, which has a value of IDR 7.2 trillion. This step is to ensure a transparent and accountable process prevents budget leakage.

The visit was carried out to Zone 1 Package 5 (Area 2-1) in the Mangga Besar area, Central Jakarta. For this work, the KPK said the value reached Rp201.7 billion.

Its work is ensured to pay attention to the complexity of field conditions and the existence of transportation infrastructure such as Light Rail Transit (LRT) and Mass Rapid Transit (MRT).

Zone 1 which is being worked on includes the Manggarai corridor, South Jakarta, to Pluit, North Jakarta with five main construction packages. The work in the Mangga Besar area includes the construction of a 350-meter pipeline, of which about 200 meters have been completed and the rest will be completed within the next 16 days.

"Of the 15 zones, actually there are those who have released, namely Zone 0 which has been managed by Perumda PAL Jaya, the WTP is around the East Setiabudi Reservoir and the Krukut WTP near Sampoerna Square Sudirman Building. Meanwhile, Zone 1, which is currently being built, is only the main piping, it has not yet been connected to the houses," concluded Robby.
