The East Jakarta Metro Police have yet to reveal the motive for the burning of her wife by her husband in the Bidara Cina area, Jatinegara, East Jakarta. The victim had the initials CAU (24).

"The motive is still being investigated. Of course, the suspect has been identified, that's in the investigation," said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Alfian to VOI at the Metro Jaya Police Headquarters, Thursday, October 16, 2025.

The police chief confirmed that currently CAU victims were already at the Jakarta RSCM to undergo a series of operations.

"The victim has been referred to the RSCM. The point is from the police, we will secure the victim first. The victim suffered burns," he said.

The submission to the RSCM is considered because it has complete medical equipment.

"We have referred the victim to the RSCM because he needs further medical treatment," he said.

Meanwhile, the head of RW 06 Bidara Cina, Helmi, said that the alleged perpetrator of the arson of his wife had also damaged and attacked a porridge trader.

"The information is like that, (the perpetrator has attacked the merchant), hoping that the perpetrator will be caught soon," he said.

Helmi added that the victim of the arson who is the wife of the perpetrator is currently still undergoing intensive care.

"Yes, the victim is already in the hospital for treatment," he said.
