JAKARTA - At least three children were injured as a result of the explosion that occurred at Al Shifa Hospital, Gaza City, Palestine.

Palestinian officials told Al Jazeera the explosion occurred when the hostages were released by Israeli and Hamas today, Monday, October 13.

Gaza's Civil Defense, which is part of the SAR team, said the source of the explosion came from an object in Al Shifa Hospital.

According to them, the object was abandoned by the Israeli military who withdrew from Gaza City as part of an initial ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel.
