JAKARTA - The West Papua Provincial Government has implemented a program of 1,500 subsidized KPR (House Ownership Credit) units for Civil Servants (PNS) and government employees with work agreements (PPPK) within the provincial government.
The construction of 1,500 subsidized KPR houses was marked by the laying of the first stone by the Governor of West Papua, Dominggus Mandacan, at Andai sub-district, South Manokwari District, Manokwari Regency, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, May 18.
Chairman of the Kasuari Sejahtera Mandiri Cooperative or the KOPRI Cooperative for the West Papua Provincial Government, Derek Ampnir, said that 1,500 subsidized KPR housing units for civil servants and PPPK will be built on an area of 60 hectares.
"This 60-hectare land has been certified as belonging to the KOPRI (Indonesian Civil Servants Corps) West Papua and is devoted to constructing 1500 units of subsidized houses of type 36 and 45 square meters", said Derek Ampnir.

He stated that the establishment of subsidized KPR houses for PNS and PPPK was a realization of the West Papua Governor's policy as stated in the 2017/2022 Regional Medium-Term Program Plan (RPJMD) in the province.
"Construction starts today, marked by the Governor's groundbreaking. It is targeted to be completed by the end of 2021", he said.
Derek Ampnir explained that the construction of subsidized KPR housing for ASN and PPPK was a collaboration between the Kasuari Sejahtera Mandiri Producers Cooperative with PT Papua Internasional Jaya as a housing developer.
"The development costs are fully borne by the developer. Meanwhile, the Kasuari Sejahtera Mandiri Cooperative provides buyers of housing units, according to the type that PNS and PPPK are interested in at an affordable selling price", said Derek Ampnir.
