JAKARTA - United States President Donald Trump stressed on Thursday he would not allow Israel to annex the West Bank, rejecting calls from several right-wing politicians in Israel who want to expand sovereignty over the region and quell hopes for the Palestinian State.

"That's enough. Now is the time to stop," he said.

The finance minister who is also a far-right Israeli politician Bezalel Smotrich said at the time the Palestinian state was "deleted from the negotiating table."
Arab and Muslim countries warned President Trump at a "Multilateral Meeting on the Middle East" on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly earlier this week about the serious consequences of West Bank annexation, a message "deeply understood" by the US President, according to Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud.
About 700,000 Israeli settlers live among 2.7 million Palestinians in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, which Israel annexed in a move not recognized by much of the country.
