Having Never Been Examined By The KPK, Rudy Tanoe Objected To Being A Corruption Suspect For Social Assistance Transportation

JAKARTA - President Commissioner of PT Dosni Roha Logistik, Bambang Rudijanto Tanoesoedibjo or Rudy Tanoe objected to being named a suspect in distributing rice social assistance to beneficiary families (KPM) of the Family Hope Program (PKH) for the 2020 Fiscal Year by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

Rudy's attorney, Ricky Sitohang, said his client had never been examined. Investigators have indeed summoned Rudy but the brother of a media entrepreneur, Hary Tanoesoedibjo, was not present.

This should be obeyed because it is regulated in the Criminal Procedure Code and Constitutional Court Decree Number 21 PUU XII 2014. Thus, a pretrial lawsuit was filed at the South Jakarta District Court (PN).

"Indeed, in the context of investigating, Mr. Bambang Rudijanto was asked for his statement as a witness so that the information given by him could be balanced to find a midpoint where the real status position is," Ricky said at a press conference, Tuesday, September 16.

Ricky said the lawsuit was made after his client received an Investigation Commencement Order (SPDP).

"Which is our request related to the determination of the suspect, which in our opinion is that the determination of the suspect is not in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Code and the decision of the Constitutional Court Number 21 PUU XII Year 2014," he said.

Ricky said the determination of this suspect was in the public spotlight, especially on social media.

"The point is, it seems that we are starting to corner or discredit the whereabouts of our client, namely Mr. Rudy Tanoesoedibjo as President Commissioner of PT Dosni Roha Logistik," he said.

Meanwhile, KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo emphasized that he had no problem with the legal steps taken by Bambang Rudijanto Tanoesoedibjo. As a suspect, this entrepreneur has rights.

"KPK respects the legal rights of BRT's brother in filing pretrial in the alleged TPK case related to the distribution of rice social assistance for beneficiary families (KPM) of the 2020 FY Family Hope Program (PKH)," Budi told reporters, Friday, September 12.

Despite respecting him, Budi also emphasized that the status of the suspect against Rudy Tanoe and other parties in this case had gone through legal procedures. Although the announcement has not been officially made.

"We ensure that all investigations and investigations by the KPK, including the determination of suspects, are in accordance with the provisions of the applicable laws and regulations, both in the formal and material aspects," he said.

Meanwhile, Rudy's pretrial lawsuit is registered at the South Jakarta District Court with case number: 102/Pid.Pra/2025/PN JKT.SEL. The President Commissioner of PT Dosni Roha Logistics sued the KPK cq led by the KPK.

The inaugural trial was held on Thursday, September 4. The trial with the agenda of summoning the respondent or the KPK has been held on Monday, September 15.

In his petitum, Rudy asked the sole judge of the South Jakarta District Court to declare that the KPK's action to establish himself as a suspect was an arbitrary act because it was not in accordance with the procedure and was against the law. Rudy wants the KPK to determine the suspect without binding legal force.

Apart from Rudy, the KPK also appointed Edy Suharto as the former Director General of Social Empowerment of the Ministry of Social Affairs and now serves as an expert staff of the Minister of Social Affairs for Changes and Social Dynamics and Kanisius Jerry Tengker who is the President Director of PT Dosni Roha Logistics for 2020-2022.
