Unnes Student Deaths In The Middle Of Demo, Semarang Police-Central Java Police Hold TKP Process

JAKARTA - The police conducted a crime scene (TKP) for a traffic accident that killed Semarang State University (Unnes) student Iko Juliant Junior.

TKP investigation was carried out by the Semarang Polrestabes Traffic Unit together with the Joint Traffic Accident Analysis (TAA) Officer of the Directorate of Traffic and Forensic Laboratory (Labfor) of the Central Java Police on Jalan Veteran, Semarang City, Saturday 6 September.

The two motorbikes involved in the unfortunate incident were also presented at the crime scene.

The Honda Supra with police number H 6038 JX was boarded by the victim and his colleague I, colliding with the Honda Vario H 2331 DP driven by V and A.

The Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Police, Kombes Pol. Artanto said the crime scene was also carried out to provide clarity to the public regarding events that had raised various allegations.

"The National Police is committed to conducting a professional and transparent investigation," he said, confiscated by Antara.

He explained that the crime scene processing was aimed at ensuring that the incident was purely a traffic accident and not for other reasons.

He asked all parties to entrust the investigation to the police.

Previously, an Unnes student, Iko Juliant Junior, was reported to have died after participating in a series of demonstrations held in Semarang.

The Legal Aid Center for the Alumni Association, Faculty of Law, Unnes, said that there were irregularities in the condition of the victim's death.

From the physical photo of the victim, there were bruises on the face and confessions about the victim who was beaten by officers while being treated at the hospital.

Iko Juliant died after undergoing surgery at the Kariadi Hospital in Semarang.
