Terrorists Shoot At Russian School, 11 People Killed

JAKARTA - The school shooting took place again. This time, the shooting took place by two attackers at a school in Kazan City, Russia.

According to the BBC on Tuesday, May 11, at least nine people were killed in the brutal attack, in which a teacher and an assailant were killed at No.175 School in Kazan.

"Student and a teacher were killed by gunfire at a school in Kazan City, Russia", officials said.

The attack took place about 820 km (510 miles) east of Moscow. Two people reportedly opened fire and a 19-year-old man has been detained.

An explosion was heard and reports said a second attacker was killed on the fourth floor of the building.

Heavily armed police and emergency vehicles are seen outside school number 175 in Kazan. Footage shared on social media showed several children jumping from windows to escape as well as injured people being evacuated.

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov told reporters outside the school the shooting was a disaster and 12 children and four adults were hospitalized.

"Terrorists have been arrested. He was 19. He's the owner of a registered firearm", he said.

One video on social media captured a teenager lying on the ground apparently being held outside the building.
