Working Visit to Bandung, Prabowo Rides Whoosh with Citizens

JAKARTA - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto departed for Bandung, West Java, on Wednesday night, boarding the "Whoosh" high-speed train from Halim Station in Jakarta with the public.

He arrived at the station around 7:45 PM WIB. Upon arrival, Prabowo was wearing cream-colored clothing, including a jacket and a dark blue hat.

Prabowo was seen tapping his card at the ticket gate like the other passengers, then walking up the escalator to the platform.

The moment immediately surprised and excited many bystanders. Prabowo then walked to the platform and waved to visitors.

Upon arriving at the platform and before boarding the train, Prabowo posed for a photo with the Whoosh crew.

At exactly 8:00 PM Western Indonesian Time (WIB), the Whoosh high-speed train departed Jakarta for Tegalluar Station, Bandung.

The President is scheduled to open the 2025 Indonesian Science, Technology, and Industry Convention (KSTI) at the Sasana Budaya Ganesa (Sabuga) Building at Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Bandung, on August 7–9, 2025.

President Prabowo will be the keynote speaker, along with Nobel laureates Konstantin Novoselov and Minister of Education, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto.

With the theme "Economic Growth and Equality Through Mastery of Science and Technology," KSTI 2025 will be a strategic forum on a national and international scale.
