Damkar: Fire in the Bapenda Building occurred on floors 11-16

JAKARTA - Head of the DKI Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat) Bayu Meghantara revealed that the fire that occurred in the DKI Jakarta Bapenda Building since Friday, August 7 evening occurred on floors 11-16.

"So the fire occurred from the 11th floor to the 16th floor," he said, quoted by Antara.

The starting point of the fire has not been able to be conveyed in detail, because it is still in the cooling process.

"We can't confirm from what floor and so on. But what is certain is that the fire started from the 11th floor to the 16th floor," he said.

Until this news was made, Bayu said his party had also managed to evacuate one worker who was renovating on the 15th floor.

"Alhamdulillah, we managed to evacuate one worker, it was from the 15th floor," he continued.

Bayu explained that the worker is now safe and has been taken to the hospital.

Previously, it was known that the fire started at around 21.00. The officers began to try to put out the fire at 21.41.

Until this news was made, details related to the cause of the fire and the number of victims were still being further investigated.
