JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung revealed the reason he appointed a number of people he knew to be commissioners and supervisory boards of regional-owned enterprises (BUMD).
Some of them ranging from former Chairman of the Pramono-Rano Winning Team in the 2024 Pilkada, Lies Hartono or Cak Lontong to Commissioner of PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol; former Daily Chairman of the Pramono-Rano Winning Team, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Perumda PAM Jaya; to close people Anies Baswedan, Sahrin Hamid became Commissioner of PT Jakarta Propertindo.
Pramono emphasized that he needs people who have the ability to oversee the running of regional companies to stay on track. So, Pramono felt he had to know firsthand the person he raised to find out his capabilities.
"I, in appointing anyone to become a commissioner, one of the first approaches is of course I have to get to know the person concerned, the second is credibility," said Pramono at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday, August 5.

Pramono gave an example of the reason he appointed Prasetyo Edi to be the chairman of the PAM Jaya Council. Apart from the two of them who are both PDI-P politicians (PDIP), Pramono sees Prasetyo as worthy of the position.
