JAKARTA - Israel claims more than 120 aid trucks today have entered Gaza in Palestine after they withheld international humanitarian aid seeking to distribute food and clean water to Palestinians.
Based on AFP's report, Monday, July 28, Isrel said the aid was later distributed by the United Nations and aid agencies in the Gaza Strip on the first day of the humanitarian break.
"More than 120 trucks were collected and distributed yesterday by the United Nations and international organizations," said COGAT, an Israeli defense ministry agency that oversees civilian affairs in the Palestinian territories, in a post on its X account, Monday, July 28.
The humanitarian break is Israel's decision to open a blockade of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip today after it was announced yesterday.
The blockade comes after levels of vulnerability lead to deaths haunt Palestinians including children and the elderly in Gaza who are malnourished and starving.
