Kepahiang DPRD Fictitious Funds: 5 Former Council Members Start Installing Corruption Money, State Losses Of IDR 12 Billion

KEPAHIANG - Five former members of the Kepahiang Regency DPRD for the 2019 '2024 period who have been named suspects in corruption cases have begun to pay back the state funds they have harmed.

The case that dragged the representatives of the people was related to fictitious official travel during the three fiscal years, namely 2021 to 2023.

"They have paid in installments for the return of state losses, but it has not been completed," said Head of the Special Crimes Section of the Kepahiang Kejari, Febrianto Ali Akbar when confirmed in Bengkulu, Antara, Thursday, July 17.

The five suspects who began to return the state funds were R. M Johandra (Rp. 320 million), Joko Triono (Rp. 240 million), Maryatun (Rp. 192 million), Budi Hartono (Rp. 260 million).

Nanto Husni (Rp194 million).

According to investigators, the five suspects manipulated official activities with varying modes ranging from not really leaving, to hotel reports that did not match reality.

"They actually falsified official travel documents and proof of lodging to disburse funds," said Febrianto.

The five former legislators have now been detained at the Class IIA Curup Prison, Rejang Lebong for the next 20 days for further investigation purposes.

Not only representatives of the people, previous investigators have also named three state civil servants (ASN) as suspects in the same case. The three are RI, budget users, YI, expenditure treasurer in 2021 and DR, expenditure treasurer in 2022 2023.

Investigators estimate that the total state losses reach Rp12 billion, although the exact figure is still waiting for the results of the audit from BPKP.

"There is still continued coordination with BPKP. The value can still change, but it is estimated that it is IDR 12 billion," said Febrianto.

Of this amount, around Rp. 2 billion has been returned through the Kepahiang Regency Inspectorate.
