JAKARTA - Presiden Prabowo Subianto menyebut kesepakatan perjanjian Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) sebagai capaian penting hubungan ekonomi RI dan Uni Eropa, setelah lebih dari satu dekade proses negosiasi berjalan alot.

"In the European Union, there was an extraordinary breakthrough, after 10 years of tough negotiations, we finally reached an agreement that Indonesia and the European Union would enter into what is called CEPA," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, July 16.
The President said the agreement in the CEPA agreement was a comprehensive economic partnership that was equivalent to a free trade agreement.
President Prabowo called this agreement an extraordinary breakthrough that would open up great opportunities for Indonesian products to enter the European Union market at a rate of 0 percent, and vice versa.
"So, our goods can enter the European Union 0% tariff, they too, so we really have a symbiotic relationship," he said.
Prabowo stressed that this partnership will benefit both parties, given the advantages of each region.

After going through a negotiation process that lasted for more than a decade, Indonesia and the European Union finally reached the CEPA agreement.
