Kompolnas Hopes That The Conclusion Of The Jokowi Ijazah Case Will Be Announced Soon

The National Police Commission (Kompolnas) hopes that the conclusion of the case title regarding the alleged fake diploma of former President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) can be announced by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police.

"We warn and hope that this conclusion will not take too long to be announced because the process is good," said Kompolnas member Choirul Anam after the special case was held in Jakarta, Wednesday, July 9, as reported by ANTARA.

He said that each party, both complainant and defendant, had been given the opportunity to explain what they believed was true. On the other hand, external parties such as Kompolnas are also accommodated to dig deeper into the problem.

"As a title process, until the deepening has been completed, each of the title participants also gives his views, it remains only now that conclusions are drawn," said Anam.

He also said that the special case title process was credible. He admitted that he was allowed to explore the issue of the alleged fake diploma in detail, both to the complainant and the defendant.

"And the explanation is acceptable. Why is it acceptable? We are not only given an informative explanation, but we are shown evidence, we are shown proof of the process, documentation of the process, we are also shown the tools used so that we can accept it," said Anam.

He told, Kompolnas also explored the difference in the layout of letters in diplomas, spelling, to the methodology used by the complainant and the reported party in compiling their arguments regarding whether or not Jokowi's diploma was fake.

Although he said that the special case title had been carried out properly and credible, Anam did not want to precede the Bareskrim Polri Investigation Supervisory Bureau (Wassidik) to conclude the results of the case title in question.

"Each party has suggested, depending on the head of the Wassidik bureau, how to conclude the suggestion. Including experts, there were criminal experts there, who also explained how the framework for responding to the facts in the title mechanism was," he said.

It is known that the Ulama Defenders Team and Activists (TPUA) filed a public complaint (dumas) regarding the existence of public findings, including from various social media as a form of a phiten or facts that are already known to the public', regarding the legal defects of Jokowi's S-1 diploma.

The complaint was recorded under the special/TPUA/XII/2024 number dated December 9, 2024.

On May 22, 2025, the Directorate of General Crimes (Dittipidum) of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police has held a press conference stating that Jokowi's S-1 diploma is genuine.

However, TPUA rejected the results, one of which was because the pendumas and the dumas were said to have not been involved in the case title. Therefore, TPUA asked for a special case title.

The special case for TPUA complaints was held at the Bareskrim Polri Building, Jakarta, Wednesday starting at 10.00 WIB, attended by representatives of TPUA to Jokowi's legal team.
