Terror Dozens Of Glass Classes Of SMPN 46 Palembang Were Broken, The Police Were Still Looking For The Perpetrators

PALEMBANG - Polrestabes Palembang, South Sumatra, is investigating the case of breaking the glass of SMP Negeri 46 school which occurred on Monday (28/4) and Saturday (10/5).

"We received the report, we are currently still working on it by investigating it or investigating it," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Palembang Polrestabes AKBP Andrie Setiawan confirmed in Palembang, Tuesday.

Previously, 36 classrooms at SMP Negeri 46 Palembang were broken after being damaged by an unknown group of youths and caught by surveillance cameras or CCTV.

Chairman of the Committee of State Junior High School 46, Zaidil Azwari, said the damage occurred twice, namely on Monday (28/4) and Saturday (10/5) night.

"We don't know what the motive was, a total of 36 broken glass were damaged by them. In the school's CCTV footage, they entered the neighborhood through the back fence," he said.

The Advisor of the Palembang 46 State Junior High School Committee, Fahlevi, said the report was made after considerations and approval from the principal.

"We report on the principal's permission. Because it is very unfortunate before the incident occurred, this school was previously renovated and repaired," he explained.

As a result of this incident, the school suffered losses of up to Rp. 18 million. Broken glasses also interfere with the convenience of the teaching and learning process.
