The Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Turkey Achmad Rizal Purnama said there had been no reports of victims of Indonesian citizens (WNI), after shaking a magnitude of 6.2 rocked Istanbul on Wednesday.
"Temporary reports from the Istanbul Task Force and the Indonesian Consulate General have not yet been reported regarding the victims," Ambassador Rizal said in a short message, Wednesday, April 23.
He explained that the number of Indonesian citizens in Istanbul registered in the Indonesian Consulate General in Istanbul was 2,648 people. Around 800 of them are professional Indonesian migrant workers, 776 students, and 670 housewives who are married to Turks.
"For PMI professionals, they generally work in the hotel and spa industry," added Ambassador Rizal.
