311 Venezuelans Returned From Mexico Landed In Caracas

JAKARTA - About 311 Venezuelan citizens who were repatriated from Mexico have landed on flights from the state-owned airline Conviasa in Caracas.

The total number of migrants recently returned to 920 people.

Minutes earlier, the US government on social media accused Venezuelan officials of lying about repatriated flights through Mexico that day.

Reported by Reuters on Thursday, March 20, Venezuela's Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello told local television the flight was the result of a "direct agreement with the Mexican government," without providing further details.

The United States last weekend deported more than 200 people suspected of being members of the Tren de Aragua Venezuela gang to El Salvador, where they are being held in a large prison despite criticism of the legality of the process.
