West Jakarta Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) officers took action against four elderly commercial sex workers (PSK) who were found operating at a number of regional points. This control was carried out on Saturday night, March 22 at two locations, namely Jalan Tubagus Angke and Daan Mogot, which are on the side of the riverbank.

"We found four people suspected of practicing prostitution at that location," said Head of the West Jakarta Satpol PP Public Order and Security Section (Kamtribum), Edison Butar Butar, Sunday, March 23.

According to Edison, the four prostitutes were observed waiting for customers and negotiating prices. They are on the basis and are involved in the process of negotiating tariffs," he explained.

The detained prostitutes are known to be between 30 and 55 years old.

"The age is old, some even reach 55 years," added Edison.

In addition to implementing Regional Regulation Number 8 of 2006 concerning Public Order, this control is also carried out to maintain public peace during the holy month of Ramadan and before Eid Al-Fitr 2025.

"We want to ensure that people can worship solemnly during Ramadan without being disturbed by this kind of activity," said Edison.

Although the number of prostitutes caught this time was less than the previous operation which netted 14 people, Edison emphasized that his party would continue to carry out routine control.

"The Satpol PP will continue to carry out control activities in order to create peace and public order, especially in the West Jakarta area," he said.
