Tomorrow, 564 Myanmar TIP Victims Will Be Returned, Suhendri's Family Hopes That There Will Be Family Members

JAKARTA - A total of 564 Indonesian citizens (WNI) suspected of being victims of the online scam crime (TPPO) sector from Myanmar will soon be repatriated to Indonesia on Tuesday, March 18, next.

The Director of Protection for Indonesian Citizens and BHI of the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Judha Nugraha, confirmed that tomorrow there would be the return of hundreds of Indonesian citizens who were victims of TIP in Myanmar.

"Tomorrow at 09.00 WIB arrive at Soetta Airport," said Judha when confirmed by VOI, Monday, March 17.

Meanwhile, Yohana, a resident of South Jakarta, hopes that, of the many victims of TIP, there will be a cousin named Suhendri alias Hendri. Hendri is said to be a victim of TIP in Myanmar. And Yohana hopes that Hendri will return home.

"Hopefully there will be one of them," said Yohana.

He admitted that he had asked Judha Nugraha directly about the return. However, he was reluctant to answer in detail the names of the victims.

"There are 500 returns. But I don't know, one of them is Hendri or not. Because I asked Mr. Judha not to give an answer. However, Judha's answer, tomorrow we will remove it from Myawaddy from Wednesday to Jakarta. But I asked if there was a name of my sister or not, she didn't give an answer, "explained Yohana.

Yohana plans to come directly upon the return of hundreds of Indonesian citizens at Soetta Airport to determine whether there are family or not.

Please note, Hendri (39) is said to be a victim of TIP. He was in Myanmar because he was accompanied by a salary of 10 thousand US Dollars or Rp. 159 million, but it led to torture.

"10 thousand USD. Facilities are borne, eat, drink, all covered. Thailand, Bangkok for the first beginning of the promise," said the victim's cousin Daniel (39) when visited at his home in the Petukangan area, Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta, Friday, August 9.

Hearing the big lure, Hendri was interested and his parents agreed. Hendri was dispatched to Bangkok, Thailand on July 11, 2024 from Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Soetta) at 12.35 WIB. Then, the victim arrived in Bangkok on the same day at 16.05 local time.

Arriving at the location, Hendri actually got tortured in a place that was wasted. This has been known since Hendri was able to contact his family members via cellphone.

Daniel said, if the family does not give money to the perpetrators, then Hendri will continue to be persecuted.

"Insisted, basically every cellphone he is active. So he calls his friend. And the risk is he is big if his cellphone is active. If there are no results from the family, in the sense that money comes in, he is tortured. Until he is beaten with a golf club, a baseball club," he said
