DPR And Government Promise To Ensure PT Sritek Workers Get Their Rights Before Eid

JAKARTA - The DPR and the government continue to coordinate to ensure that the rights of former PT Sritek workers are fulfilled, especially before Lebaran 2025. For this reason, former Sritek workers are not provoked by false news about fulfilling their rights.

This was conveyed by Member of Commission IX of the House of Representatives, Obon Troboni, through a written message received by VOI, Saturday, March 15.

The man who is also a labor activist emphasized that Commission 9 Works quickly regarding complaints from PT Sritek Workers, including the slow disbursement of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan by looking directly at the process.

"Alhamdulillah, the process has been going well. BPJS Ketenagakerjaan has made several improvements including the addition of officers and it is confirmed that before Eid all processes are completed, including Job Loss Guarantee which by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Mr. Prabowo, the value is increased so that workers feel very happy. Apart from BPJS Employment, other rights include THR, Pesangon, etc. will continue to be monitored," he said.

Regarding the bankruptcy issue, PT Sritex, the government has taken many concrete steps, including re-operating the company with a new management. Obon added that former employees of PT Sritex will be employed in the new company.

"We met directly with former employees and they are enthusiastic to work again in a new company. We regret the provocation of an invitation to a demonstration by a group that is not an employee of PT Stitex in the midst of this conducive situation," he said.

"We call on all parties to fight together to ensure that the fulfillment of the rights of PT Sritex employees goes well. There should be no provocation and spread of false information that will only confuse the situation," he said.
