Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Dudy Purwagandhi said that the community has the potential to carry out village activities a week earlier than predicted peak homecoming. This is due to the Work from Anywhere or WFA policy.

"We also anticipate that if there is a density or homecoming activity, it will start on March 21, 2025, on Friday," Dudy told reporters, Monday, March 10.

This policy is a step to reduce traffic density, whose peak is expected to occur from March 28 to 30, 2025.

Anticipating the density of vehicles or congestion has been prepared, one of which is by implementing traffic flow engineering, which will be commanded by members of the National Police.

In addition, the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) will also coordinate with local governments to overcome sub-districts caused by the presence of spilled markets, tourist sites, and so on.

"Especially related to anticipation related to the spilled market market or then the railroad track that needs to be watched out for and also needs cooperation with the local government and of course with the police to secure the route," said Dudy.

It is predicted that 146.48 million people will return to their hometowns at the moment of Eid al-Fitr 2025 or Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijriah.

Of this figure, most people use private vehicles with a percentage of 23 percent.

In addition, based on the results of surveys and mappings, the area from which travelers come from is West Java. Meanwhile, the most targeted area is Central Java.

"For this year, we estimate that the number of travelers who will travel in Eid is 146.48 million people," said Dudy.
