Central Java Police provide clarification regarding the Sukatani band which creates the lyrics of a song entitled "Pay Pay Pay" which discusses criticism of police officers.

The Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Police, Kombes Artanto, confirmed the clarification made by officers from the Central Java Police Cyber Directorate against the band's personnel.

"We had clarified the Sukatani band. The results of the clarification, we appreciate expressive activities and are of the opinion through art," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, February 21. According to him, the police did not ask the band to clarify or intimidate.

The police also emphasized that they did not prohibit the music group from showing the song when appearing on stage.

Artanto claims that the National Police is open to criticism as proof of his love for this institution.

The police, he continued, also appreciated constructive criticism of the police.

"Those who criticize constructive properties for the improvement of the Police will become friends of the National Police Chief," he added.

In the band's social media upload, two Sukatani band personnel, Muhammad Syifa Al Lufti alias Alectroguy and Novi Citra Indriyati alias Twister Angel, apologized to the National Police Chief General Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo and Polri for the lyrics of the song Pay Pay Pay Pay.

"With this, I appeal to all users of social media platforms who already have our song with the title Pay Pay Pay, pay police song lyrics, to delete and withdraw all videos using our songs because if there is a risk in the future, it is not our responsibility," he said.
