East Lombok Satpol PP Announces Will Order Remang-remang Lapak At Labuhan Haji Beach

JAKARTA - The Satpol PP of East Lombok Regency admitted that they would control the dimly lit stalls that mushroomed in the Labuhan Haji Beach area following community reports related to allegations of being misused by tourist sites by young people.

"We will immediately carry out control, especially before the month of Ramadan 2025," said East Lombok PP Head of Police Selamat Alimin in East Lombok, Friday, February 21, confiscated by Antara.

He said that under the stalls on the coast of Labuhan Haji and Suryawangi, the East Lombok Labuhan Haji District was built by traders who were selling around the coast.

However, it is in the spotlight of the community and visitors, because the stall is suspected to be often misused by young people as a place to make out places, liquor or alcohol parties.

"Allegedly misused by young people going home," he said.

A few weeks ago, members of the Satpol PP Labuhan Haji Subdistrict held a patrol and often found young people making out and drinking parties, without receiving a warning from the stall seller.

"We do not deny that the stall is often used as a place for young people to make out, without a warning from traders selling in the stall," he said.

He said the construction of the stalls carried out by the community was without permission from the competent government, so his party would control the existence of these stalls.

Moreover, it will soon enter the holy month of Ramadan, so that if the control can not be carried out immediately, of course it can be misused later.

"The public asked us to immediately control the stalls lined up on the shores of Labuhan Haji," he said.
