JIS Officially Becomes Persija's Cage, Doel: That's Our Order

Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Rano Karno (Doel) said that the determination of the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), which has officially become the headquarters of the Persija Jakarta football club, was his order and Pramono Anung.

Doel admitted that he and the Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono had instructed the JIS Management BUMD to immediately turn the international standard stadium into Persija's home base shortly after the inauguration of the regional head.

"Pak Gubernur dan saya memerintahkan Jakpro melakukan MoU kepada Persija agar menjadi home base. Jadi memang itu memang perintah kita kepada Jakpro untuk melakukan MoU," ungkap Doel di Cengkareng, Jakarta Barat, Jumat, 21 Februari.

With the stipulation of JIS as headquarters, Doel hopes that the Kemayoran Tiger club will no longer need to look for other stadiums every match.

"Hopefully Persija has a home base, it doesn't bother where you want to play anymore," said Doel.

From the beginning it was built when Anies Baswedan's leadership served as Governor of DKI, JIS was predicted to be Persija's home. However, it took almost three years to make JIS a home.

PT Jakarta Propertindo (Perseroda) or Jakpro, officially made JIS the headquarters of Persija through the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with PT Persija Jaya Jakarta on Thursday, February 20.

From this agreement, it is also planned to develop a stadium commercial ecosystem, starting from merchandise, sponsorship, to the activation of Persija brands at JIS.

President Director of PT Jakpro Iwan Takwin explained that this was part of Pramono-Rano's first 100-day priority program to lead Jakarta.

"Jakpro is proud to present JIS as the Home of Persija, as a form of joint commitment in supporting the world of sports and building a stronger football ecosystem in Jakarta. Today, we emphasize that JIS is not just a stadium, but a house for Persija and pride for all citizens of Jakarta," explained Iwan.

Director of PT Persija Jaya Jakarta, Mohamad Prapanca, added that this collaboration is an important momentum in Persija's journey, as well as in line with the government's efforts to strengthen the sports industry.

"JIS is now really home to Persija Jakarta. With world standard facilities, we are optimistic that Persija can further develop and continue to record achievements in the national and international arenas. We also hope that this synergy can provide the best experience for our supporters, Jakmania," explained Prapanca.
