DPR Affects Budget Efficiency Of IDR 1.3 Tririliun, Working Visits Will Be Limited

JAKARTA - Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Adies Kadir, said that the Indonesian House of Representatives was affected by budget efficiency of IDR 1.3 trillion in the 2025 fiscal year, resulting in a limited working visit (kunker).

"Yes, visits are limited. There is capital expenditure, there is a visit," said Adies as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, February 20.

According to him, the restriction on working visits applies to domestic visits or overseas visits, including the efficiency of the budget will also hinder the working visit of members of the Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Agency (BKSAP).

Adies said the budget reduction could also have the potential to reduce salaries for people who work within the DPR, including members, staff, and ASN.

"Anyway, the DPR can do the whole thing, basically all of them get efficiency, so they have to tie their waist hard," he said.

Previously, President Prabowo Subianto instructed the government's budget efficiency of IDR 306.69 trillion in the 2025 APBN and APBD to maintain fiscal stability and support more optimal public services.

The target is contained in a copy document of Presidential Instruction Number 1 of 2025 concerning Expenditure Efficiency in the Implementation of the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) as well as the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) for Fiscal Year 2025 which was reported in Jakarta, Thursday (23/1).

The main points of the inpres directive are the determination of the target for budget efficiency of IDR 306.69 trillion, consisting of IDR 256.1 trillion from the ministry/institutional budget and IDR 50.59 trillion from transfer to the regions.
