Today The KPK Continues To Examine Hasto As A Suspect Even Though He Asks For A Suspension

This was conveyed by KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika when asked for a postponement of the examination submitted by the Hasto camp.

They reasoned that the request was being filed a pretrial lawsuit for the second time at the South Jakarta District Court (PN).

"Stay scheduled (examination, ed)," said Tessa, quoted on Thursday, February 20.

Meanwhile, Hasto admitted that he would fulfill the summons of KPK investigators. He is ready to be questioned as a suspect.

"Because the PDI struggle is instilled in discipline to obey the law, tomorrow I will be present to fulfill the summons from the KPK," said Hasto at the PDIP DPP Party School, South Jakarta, Wednesday, February 19.

Complementing Hasto's statement, Ronny B. Talepessy as the PDIP legal team will accompany Hasto when visiting the anti-corruption commission. However, they will ask investigators to postpone the trial.

"We will attend and we will convey it to investigators, so that investigators should wait for a pretrial decision to whether or not the status of Mas Hasto Kristiyanto is valid," explained Ronny.

"We ask that investigators in this case should be professional in following the existing process because we are testing using our legal rights to re-test pretrial," he added.

Previously reported, the KPK developed an interim replacement bribery (PAW) case that ensnared former KPU commissioner Wahyu Setiawan and his fugitive, Harun Masiku.

Two people were later named as suspects, namely PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto and Donny Tri Istiqomah who are PDIP cadres as well as lawyers.

Hasto is also a suspect in the obstruction of the investigation. He is suspected of trying to obstruct the legal process, one of which is by asking Harun to damage his cellphone and run away after the arrest operation (OTT) was carried out.

Terhadap penetapan tersangka itu, Hasto mengajukan praperadilan ke Pengadilan Negeri (PN) Jakarta Selatan karena tak terima jadi tersangka. Namun, hakim memutus tak menerima gugatan itu karena dianggap tak jelas atau kabur pada Kamis, 13 Februari.

Kubu Hasto kemudian mengajukan lagi praperadilan ke PN Jaksel pada Jumat, 14 Februari atau sehari setelah putusan diketuk Djumyanto. Mereka memasukkan dua gugatan secara terpisah yakni terkait kasus suap dan perintangan penyidikan.

In this case, Hasto was questioned as a suspect on January 13. He underwent an examination for 3.5 hours and did not have an orange dream.
