40 Pematers Prepared For Retret Regional Heads

JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Home Affairs (Wamendagri) Bima Arya Sugiarto said 40 ministers had been prepared for the retret or briefing of regional heads at the Military Academy (Akmil), Magelang, Central Java, starting February 21-28, 2025.

"Yes, there is," said Bima Arya, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, February 17.

Bima explained that initially the Ministry of Home Affairs planned to present all ministers of the Red and White Cabinet (KMP), totaling around 48 people, to become ministers.

However, he said, the Ministry of Home Affairs is considering the time of implementing a dense retreat, and it is necessary to present a speaker from the National Resilience Agency (Lemhannas) to discuss the insights of the archipelago and national resilience.

The Deputy Minister of Home Affairs explained that not all KMP ministers could be speakers, so the Ministry of Home Affairs arranged the ministers needed to provide directions or explanations about national priority programs in the briefing.

"Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani will talk about efficiency, for example, the Head of the Nutrition Agency (Dadan Hindayana) will explain the Free Nutrition Food program. Then, the Minister of Agriculture (Amran Sulaiman) and the Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs (Zulkifli Hasan) will talk about food self-sufficiency targets," Bima said, calling several KMP ministers who would be ministers in the briefing.

If the minister who has been prepared to become a speaker in the retreat cannot attend then cannot be replaced by echelon I or II officials in the ministry.

"Yes, if the minister can't, the deputy minister is still possible because cabinet members certainly understand very well," he said.

Before undergoing the briefing on February 21-28, 2025 at Akmil, the elected head and deputy regional head candidates will take part in the simultaneous inauguration on Thursday (20/2).
