What's New With The OK OCE Program? It Turns Out That It Just Created 4 Percent Of MSMEs From The Regional Medium-Term Program Target

JAKARTA - Who doesn't know the One Kecamatan One Center of Entrepreneurship (OK OCE) program? This program has been a mainstay of DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan and former DKI Deputy Governor Sandiaga Uno since the 2017 DKI Regional Election.

In this program, the DKI Provincial Government plays a role in providing training and business assistance. Then, the MSMEs that are included in OK OCE will only be helped to get access to capital in banks, not paid by the government. the OK OCE program is just a bridge between Bank DKI and the program participants.

Deputy Chairperson of the PDIP Party Faction of DKI Regional Representatives (DPRD DKI) Ima Mahdia explained the latest developments in the OK OCE program. It turns out that from the target of creating 200 thousand jobs and new entrepreneurs, currently, only 4 percent of MSMEs have made progress.

"From the promise to create 200.000 jobs and new entrepreneurs, until 2020 only 8.348 OKE OCE have obtained micro and small business licenses", said Ima in her statement, Wednesday, April 21.

According to Ima, this number is very small when compared to the target in the regional medium-term program plan (RPJMD) for 2017-2022. In fact, Anies' tenure is only one and a half years away.

Ima considered that the jamming of the OK OCE program is continuous with the increasing poverty rate in Jakarta. It is recorded that the percentage of poverty headcount in DKI Jakarta as of March 2020 was 4.53 percent, from last year's 3.42 in March.

Ima said that the increase in the poverty rate was due to Anies being too focused on the program of beautifying the center of Jakarta. Such as the arrangement of sidewalks on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman to MH Thamrin, as well as the revitalization of pedestrian bridges.

"Governor Anies Baswedan does not have a clear program to alleviate the poverty rate and he seems to only focus on beautification programs", said Ima.

Likewise, the chairman of the PDIP Paty faction of the DKI DPRD, Gembong Warsono, assessed that the OK OCE program is currently not running after the former Deputy Governor of DKI Sandiaga Uno resigned from his position.

"The target is 200 thousand new entrepreneurs from the OK OCE program. But, because OK OCE spirit is in Sandi, it is now gone", he said.

Gembong considered Anies reluctant to continue OK OCE because the program was mostly played by Sandiaga Uno when he was still Deputy Governor of DKI.

In fact, Gembong thought the program was a good thing to do. "If it can be resolved by Mr. Anies, I will give you a thumbs up. My four thumbs, two toes, two thumbs up", added Gembong.
