OIKN: Safari Park Development At IKN Starts At The End Of 2025

The Capital Authority of the Archipelago (OIKN) revealed that the construction of the Safari Park in Nusantara, East Kalimantan, is targeted to start at the end of this year.

"Today I accept Pak Garibaldi (Boy) Thohir to ensure the construction of the Safari Park with his consortium at IKN. He expressed his determination that development will begin no later than the end of this year and will last for the next 2-3 years," said OIKN Head Basuki Hadimuljono in Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Saturday, February 8.

Basuki revealed that the IKN Authority has prepared 225 hectares of land that will be used as a location for Safari Park.

The land has been reviewed together with the Taman Safari Team to ensure its readiness and suitability.

Taman Safari Indonesia affirms its commitment to start building a Safari Park in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) as an educational recreation area regarding the diversity of domestic animals.

This development is targeted to start no later than the end of 2025.

For information, the Archipelago Capital Authority (OIKN) revealed that investors in Nusantara, East Kalimantan, continue to build according to schedule agreements.

OIKN Deputy for Funding and Investment Agung Wicaksono explained that every investor conducting the groundbreaking has signed a Land Utilization Cooperation Agreement (PKS) with the IKN Authority. In this PKS, there are development plans that include the stages and schedule of the project.

One of the important points is the investor's obligation to start construction no later than 18 months after the agreement is signed.

Agung emphasized that flexibility in the schedule is needed to ensure project quality, from design to implementation. The IKN Authority also continues to monitor the progress of each project so that it remains in line with the target.

In addition, he said the focus of development in the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) is currently WP 1A whose infrastructure is ready.

He also added that investor interest in groundbreaking has expanded to the 1B and 1C Development Areas, although basic infrastructure in the area is still in the process of being built.
