Kosmetic Boss Father Of Child Kidnapping Victim In Denpasar: He Is Hurt To Fire, His Work Is Not Competent

DENPASAR - The perpetrator of child kidnapping in South Denpasar, Bali Wayan Sudirta (29) was fired from his workplace because he was considered incompetent at work.

The victim's father, IMRAK, Komang Sudiarta (49) when presented at a press conference in Denpasar, said he had never met the perpetrator, who was a former employee.

The dismissal of the perpetrators, said Sudiarta, who became a cosmetic distributor in Denpasar, was the result of an assessment and evaluation from supervisors and managers.

Based on the performance assessment, the perpetrator Wayan Sudirta was included in the list of employees who were dismissed as couriers and replaced with other people.

"I've never conducted an assessment. When the supervisor and his manager said they lacked competition, he applied for this person to be replaced. So I'm just an approve," said Komang Sudiarta accompanied by his wife, Thursday, February 6.

According to him, dismissal must be carried out so that the work of the perpetrators as couriers does not interfere with the performance of other employees.

Therefore, the reason the perpetrator kidnapped his son was because he was hurt by being fired, said Komang, he could not be linked to his job.

"So basically if he feels hurt with me, it's wrong, if that's the case, many people will hurt me," said Komang.

Previously, the South Denpasar Police Commissioner, Herson Djuanda, explained that the kidnapping case began when an employee of Komang Sudiarta was ordered to pick up the victim from school, on Wednesday (5/2) at around 13.30 WITA.

However, Komang Sudiarta's employee did not find the boy he wanted to pick up at school.

Based on the school's narrative, the 10-year-old boy has been picked up by someone who uses a motorcycle.

Therefore, he reported the incident to the parents of the victim.

Not long after, Komang Sudiarta's wife received a call from someone who claimed to have kidnapped the boy at school. The perpetrator asked for a ransom of Rp. 100 million. The perpetrator threatened to injure the victim's child if the family reported it to the police.

However, Komang Sudiarta decided to report the case to the police. Not long after, several South Denpasar Police personnel came to Komang Sudiarta's place to start an investigation.

From the CCTV footage, it can be seen that someone has picked up the victim using a motorbike.

Based on the results of the investigation, the perpetrators were in the vicinity of PT Indonesia Power, Denpasar City.

The undercover police immediately arrested the perpetrator and taken him to the South Denpasar Police Headquarters for further investigation.

The perpetrator Wayan Sudirta was named a suspect and detained at the South Denpasar Police Rutan.

The police charged the perpetrator with Article 83 Juncto Article 76 Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection or Article 32 of the Criminal Code (KUHP) with a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison.
