Dekopin Asks BPK To Audit Assets And Grant Funds

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Cooperative Council (Dopopin) asked the Supreme Audit Agency of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK RI) to conduct a thorough investigative audit of assets to grants, last period. This audit was carried out so that Dekopin for the period 2024-2029, is more transparent in running the wheels of the organization in the future.

"We want to conduct a thorough audit of the assets and grants from the government. We convey our intention and the BPK opens the widest possible space for us to request the audit," said Chairman of Dekopin Bambang Haryadi at the BPK RI Office, Jalan Gatot Subroto, Central Jakarta, Thursday, February 6.

The chairman of Commission VI of the Indonesian House of Representatives said that the Dekopin he currently leads has been recognized by the Ministry of Law and the Ministry of Cooperatives. Therefore, Bambang assessed that the openness of assets is very important in order to run the wheels of the organization.

"Because we want dekopin in the future to be more transparent and clearer and clean, financial and asset management. Well, today we came to BPK and Alhamdulillah was met by the Deputy Chairman of the BPK, Mr. Budi Prijono," said Bambang.

This Gerindra Party politician explained the reason his party asked BPK to conduct an internal audit. Because in the last five years, said Bambang, Dekopin no longer received grant funds from the government.

"Previously there were grants from the government. So we ask that the use be audited by investigations, whether the user is right or not," he explained.

Bambang emphasized that in the future Dekopin will run an organization, of course, based on the achievements that have been passed by the old management. However, if there is an error in the journey of the old management, it will be evaluated first.

"Because we want to run it in the future based on it before. If it is true that the initial one is correct, we will follow it, if it is not true we will evaluate it. So we must account for even one rupiah of money from the state for organizations such as dekopins," said Bambang.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chairman of BPK Budi Prijono conveyed that the presence of Dekopin management to his office was in the context of gathering and consulting a number of things, for the development of cooperatives in the future. Among them, asking BPK RI to audit Dekopin's assets.

"Which means that we can help with the smooth running of Dekopin's tasks in the future, including audit activities on dekopin issues, which so far the entrance must be through the Ministry of Cooperatives," said Budi.
