JAKARTA - Commission D of the DKI Jakarta DPRD urges the DKI Provincial Government, in this case the DKI Jakarta Cipta Karya, Spatial Planning and Land Service (Citata) not to tolerate buildings that do not meet safety standards.
Chairman of Commission D DPRD DKI Jakarta Yuke Yurike emphasized that the DKI Provincial Government should take firm action against building owners who do not meet safety standards.
The prosecution for the violation is contained in Regional Regulation Number 8 of 2008 concerning the Prevention and Hazard Management of Fires and Gubernatorial Regulation 143 of 2016 concerning Management of Building and Environmental Fire Safety.
"If it turns out that he (the building-ed) is not worthy, there must be some sanctions whether it is not given permission or must it be closed and others," said Yuke in his statement, Thursday, February 6.
Buildings that do not comply with permits, said Yuke, are intolerable violations. Moreover, bilsa does not meet safety standards, such as providing emergency doors, fire detection equipment, and Light Fire Extinguishing Equipment (APAR).
