Canada-US Holds Meeting On Trump Policy Import Tariffs

The Canadian-US Board of Relations will hold a summit in Toronto on Friday this week.

This was conveyed by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Wednesday, February 5, after a 30-day gap at the tariff proposed by the Trump administration took effect this week.

The summit will look for ways to grow Canada's economy, expand domestic trade, diversify export markets and overcome productivity.

Trudeau said that his party would also try to improve coordination between partners.

The White House previously observed Mexico's "serious" response to US President Donald Trump's executive orders regarding tariffs.

But Canada is considered America to be "misunderstanding" by throwing the term trade war between neighboring countries. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau previously planned to retaliate against the US for Trump's policy by implementing high rates for America.

Trump on Saturday last week ordered the massive tariff on goods from Mexico, Canada, and China.

The US has demanded that these countries stop the flow of illegal fentanyl and immigrants into the US, sparking trade wars that could hinder global growth and trigger inflation.
