Kapendam Jaya Admits There Are TNI Members Involved In The Murder Of Widows In South Tangerang

TANGERANG - A widow named Novi is suspected of being a victim of murder involving members of the Indonesian Army (AD), Pratu TS on Jalan Bonjol, Pondok Aren, South Tangerang (Tangsel).

Kapendam Jaya, Colonel Deki R Putra confirmed that his members were involved in cases of alleged abuse that resulted in the death of the victim.

"When an examination was carried out on the person concerned in the unit, information was obtained that while leaving the unit concerned, he committed acts of violence or mistreatment of his female colleagues which resulted in his death," said Deki when confirmed, Friday, January 31.

Deki explained that the individual member of the Indonesian Army was a member of the Yonif 318 Kostrad unit unit. He has not come to work since January 19, 2025.

"It is true that there are members of the TNI AD from the Yonif 318 Kostrad unit who have taken actions that do not attend without permission (Dispersion) from units starting on January 19, 2025," he said.

After his party received a report of the violence, the suspect Pratu TS was immediately arrested.

"Implemented a search for the person concerned, and the person concerned was arrested in the Medang (Tangerang) area," he said.

Pratu TS is currently being detained by the Military Police Detachment (Denpom).

"Denpom Jaya 1/Tgr for further investigation. And the TNI has also coordinated with the South Tangerang Police," he said.

Deki apologized for the current incident. He confirmed that he would take firm action if he was proven to have committed the act.

"We represent all ranks of the Indonesian Army to apologize for what happened and if there is an act committed by the person concerned, it is personal and does not represent the institution," he concluded.
