JAKARTA - Maroon 5 will appear at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) on Saturday, February 1. JIS manager claims the stadium in Tanjung Priok is ready to welcome thousands of fans of the band from the United States.

Head of SBU JIS Shinta Syamsul Arief revealed that the JIS manager has prepared a retractable roof cover scheme to anticipate the rain during the concert.

"Although it has been raining in Jakarta in the last few days, this has not hampered preparations in the stadium thanks to the roof that can be closed. Thus, concerts can still take place comfortably without weather problems," Shinta said in a statement, Friday, January 31.

Shinta revealed that technical preparations, including the construction of stages and supporting infrastructure, had entered the finalization stage by the promoter and the concert production team.

Given the limited traffic access, Shinta appealed to spectators to use public transportation to avoid congestion around JIS.

"For those who bring private vehicles, we recommend paying attention to the parking points that have been prepared and taking advantage of the shuttle services available to get to the concert area more easily," he explained.

Previously, Jakarta was once the location for the Maroon 5 show tour in 2011 and 2012. This year, other countries that are also visited by Maroon 5 on the Asian tour next year are Manila (Philippines), Bangkok (Thailand), Tokyo (Japan), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), and Kaohsiung (Tiongk).

To avoid congestion and facilitate access, spectators are also advised to use the public transportation or official parking bags that have been provided.

Alternative access that can be used includes Transjakarta, KRL Commuter Line, Jakarta LRT, and shuttle buses from parking bags in the Ancol area.
